Let’s Talk About Our Planet, Pt. 5 – The Coffee Crisis

Let’s Talk About Our Planet, Pt. 5 – The Coffee Crisis

First, I want to apologize for the infrequency posts the past few weeks.

There were a few things beyond my control that occurred. Some things that were in my control too, but I lacked the mental capacity to deal with them at the time.  Among a few other things, the most destructive to my mind was losing a good friend to a battle with cancer. I’m not looking for sympathy. I’m simply looking for some understanding as to why I needed to take a break from any serious posts. Frankly, for the past few weeks, I didn’t care – and that’s ok. We all need to be apathetic once in a while; in healthy doses.

Despite that, I did manage to publish a new story that relates directly to the topic at hand. If you like my climate change series, I certainly recommend checking it out. You can find the link on Amazon here, and if you enjoy it, or have any comment, be sure to leave me a review and tell me what you think:

Another social stigma to debunk. Yay!

This has been done before, but I’m tired, cranky, and I’ve been on Facebook (the cesspool/breeding ground of more recent social attitudes – bad and good), so I’m going to do it again.

Recently I saw this quote posted from a friend, who I won’t name, that was trying to be inspirational to some extent. I respect him for that. The intention is certainly well meaning, although the message is mucky. Perhaps they don’t understand why that is, so I hope this blog will educate them. Hope it also educates others who either believe in this nonsense, or have been told it by someone else. Continue reading

Combating Ignorance : Anita Sarkeesian, ISIS, and Muslims.

Combating Ignorance : Anita Sarkeesian, ISIS, and Muslims.

Heads up people, as this blog post is going to seem pretentious to some of you. As a disclaimer, I will say up front that I am no better, or no worse than anyone else, in the sense of being partially to blame for some of the ignorant behavior I’m going to be talking about, and refuting. I also want to say that though I may have participated in some of this at one point or another, I’ve grown past it and have learned what kind of indirect damage some of these things can cause, and the truth behind them. Due to the length of this article, I won’t be able to use too many examples, but enough for you to get the picture.

The Disposable Man

A shadow walks beside its host,

Suspending conversation in the dead air.

Expressing thoughts he hides the most,

Dead memories of a life unfair.
